The vibrant city of Prague has much to share with its culture and entertainment. It has galleries that display art pieces from European artists of all ages. Music mania
Two world-class orchestras stand in the Czech capital. These are the Czech Philharmonic(based at the neoclassical Rudolfinum), and the Prague Symphony Orchestra (performs at its restored home at the Smetana Hall). High-quality performance can also be witnessed at Church of St Nicolas (Kostel sv Mikuláse), Nostic Palace, St Agnes’ Convent (Klášter sv. Anežky ceské), and at the baroque Chapel of Mirrors (Zrcadlová kaple of the Klementinum).
You can also catch a standard opera repertoire at the State Opera. Although not so frequent, you might be lucky to get a glimpse of Mozart operas at the Estates Theatre. There are music shows during summer at the Křižíkova Fontana(Krizik’s Fountain) that make use of lights, fountains and water features.
Theater treat

A combination of music, dance and three-dimensional effects with ultraviolet light features or the Black Light Theatre, is staged in the city. Genres range from classical to rock. Other interesting theaters are the Jiří Grossmann Theatre and Laterna Magika. Summer shows, meanwhile, are presented at Divaldo Globe which is a reconstructed Globe Theatre of Shakespeare.
Dance date
Major theatres have classical ballet in their programs but there are modern dance companies as well take experiment on multimedia techniques to create a new dance flavor. A performance space called Ponec, owned by Tanec Prah dance company, has diverse and challenging Czech and international company programs. Truly, there are various forms of Prague entertainment that visitors should not miss.
Fabulous films

You can expect films from foreign countries to be screened in Prague in the language the films were made. Films that are subtitled are tagged as titulek while those that are dubbed in Czech language are called aredabovat
Features, experimental films and late-night programs are shown in 64 U Hradeb with its art deco ambiance. Cinema Broadway is the place for epic films, while MAT Studio have English-subtitled Czech films. The center of the Czech film industry is the Barrandov Studio located at the south of Smíchov.
Spring festival

Prague culture is also highlighted in the events it holds. The city has one of the major events in the world called the Prague Spring Festival. All throughout the year, you’ll see concert and performances. There are buskers everywhere and students from the Conservatoire showcase their talents and perform Dixieland jazz, folk, world music and pop in the streets, squares and bridges of Prague.
